8 months old!!

I am now 8 months old and feeling better then ever. This past week has been very eventful. First last Tuesday we had to say goodbye to our sweet dog Ginger. She wasn't feeling well so dad took her away so she wouldn't feel her boo-boos anymore. I was going to go to story time that day but instead I comforted mom. She was very sad. This is a photo of Ginger and Jack the day before she left us.
On Saturday I went with mom, dad, and dad's client Bill to a race. Bill and dad ran 5 miles. It was a lot of fun because there were lots of kids to watch and I got to eat my breakfast in the park. I can't wait till I can run like dad. He is really fast. I went to church that night and mom let me play with all the kids. I had a lot of fun because they have toys I don't have at home.

This week I was able to go to story time again and see my friends. Then dad, mom and I drove around town. I like taking trips in the car because I have a fun new car seat and I like to put the headrest on my head and laugh at myself in the mirror.

This photo is of me listening to music and dancing. I love to dance and sing...like mom.

Today I went to the park with my friend Grayson. It was a lot of fun. We took a walk, played in the leaves and swung in the swings. I like Grayson. He makes me laugh.

This past week mom and I have been taking lots of walks with Jack. Jack misses Ginger and we have to make sure he is getting his exercise. I have continued to perfect my standing skills and have been testing the waters by trying to pull up and stand on everything. I am a very fast crawler and mom is always watching me to make sure I am not headed for any of the no-no areas of the house. I tend to gravitate to those areas. I have had a few conversations with Grandma on the phone. She is a good listener. I think she might even know what I am saying ... finally someone understands me.

I don't know what the rest of the week will hold but I do know it is warming up and that means that mom and I will be outside a lot more. I can't wait. I can't wait to tell you about my next adventure.
