Yesterday I went to see my doctor for my 9 month check-up. My weight was 21lbs. 14oz.; my height is 30"; my head measured 18 1/4". They also tested my iron levels they are perfect. I am healthy and doing great. I showed my doctor, Dr. France, my beautiful new teeth...all 5 of them, 3 on the top and 2 on the bottom. I also had to get my shots that I didn't get at 6 months. Ouch!!! I don't like my shots because they hurt. It's OK, the pain goes away quickly.
Dad and mom got me some new toys to play with. One of them is a fun toy that I can push around the house. I have mastered the art of pulling myself up on things now I am working on pulling myself up and walking around. I am also standing on my own now for short amounts of time. I am still very wobbly but I am getting better at it every day. My dad and I make sure to work on my balance. He is very patient and a good teacher. Take a look at the video of me walking in my play area...
I am going on a big trip next week. I am flying with mom across the country to visit my grandma and grandpa. I will also get to meet my Uncle Luke and Aunt Bev. I am very excited to visit the west coast again. It will be a long plane ride but this time we wont have to change planes part way through the trip. It should be fun.

Teeth, Teeth, and more Teeth!!

I now have four teeth. Three on the top and one on the bottom. Mom found my bottom tooth today and she thinks the one next to it is going to be popping out any day. I guess this is why my nose is running and I am drooling so much.
This past weekend I took my first dip in the pool. It was so much fun. I splashed my hands, kicked my feet and even put my face in all by myself without crying. After my vigorous workout I relaxed on the pool float and soaked up some much earned sun. I hope I get to go back to the pool this weekend and swim some more.

Mom, Jack(my dog) and I have been taking lot of long walks around our neighborhood. Mom will even let me help her hold the leash sometimes. I love to watch Jack dance around when he sees squirrels. It makes me laugh.
Dad, mom, Jack and I went to the beach on Wednesday and took a long walk. It was windy and the waves were making lots of noise. I loved to watch dad and Jack run together up and down the sand hills. It made me laugh so hard I think my cheeks hurt. I got to see some horses when we were walking on the beach. They were funny because they were playing in the water and it rolled in and out. I enjoying playing in the sand. I can't wait till I get to go to the beach again. Maybe next time I will be able to put my feet in the water. This time it was a little too cold.
Today I went to the outside mall. Mom and I walked around while dad was at work. It was fun walking in and out of all the stores.

TEETH....YEAH!!!

This has been a big week! First, mom found my first tooth on Wednesday. She thought is was funny because it is my upper left lateral incisor .... what ever that means... I guess normally you get your two front bottom or top teeth first. Well not me. I got the tooth to the left of my upper left front tooth. My two top front teeth are starting to show now too. Before you know it I will have lots of teeth. I guess this is why my nose is running and I am drooling everywhere. Second, on Wednesday, mom let go of me when I was standing in my pack-in-play and I stayed standing...wow who knew I could do that. I didn't even use the edge to keep myself up. I even did it twice. Now I have to figure out who to do it on my own. Hmmmm...I have a new project.

The weather is warming up so we are outside a lot more. I went to the beach twice this past week. Dad, mom and I went to the beach last Thursday evening. It was so much fun. I got to play in the sand and I watch little birds run all around us. Then Mom and I went to the beach again on Sunday with John, Collette and Jackie. Mom took me in to the water and let me kick my feet around little for awhile. I loved how the waves rolled in and out. I love the beach because I like to move my fingers in the sand and it feels good between my toes.

Last Saturday mom and I went to the park and took a walk I went on the swings. I love the swings. I think it is because I feel like I am flying.

Today I went to see dad and Bill run again...but this time Grandma came too. How much fun was that. We had to get up really early..the sun wasn't even up yet. There were lots of people and loud music. I got to play with a puppy and cheer the runners as they raced to the finish. I was so proud of my daddy. He did a great job. I was so tired when we left I think I fell a sleep when I was talking to Grandma....I must have because when I woke up everyone was eating and we weren't in the car anymore. It was a very exciting morning. This is a photo of Grandma and I watching the winners run in.

Tonight we are going to church and I get to play with lots of little kids my age. I can't wait.

I can pull myself up...look at me!
I wanted you to witness my new skill...pulling myself to a standing position. This was taken a few days ago so believe it or not I am faster now then I was then. I will also show you my drumming skills. Enjoy!
8 months old!!
I am now 8 months old and feeling better then ever. This past week has been very eventful. First last Tuesday we had to say goodbye to our sweet dog Ginger. She wasn't feeling well so dad took her away so she wouldn't feel her boo-boos anymore. I was going to go to story time that day but instead I comforted mom. She was very sad. This is a photo of Ginger and Jack the day before she left us.
This week I was able to go to story time again and see my friends. Then dad, mom and I drove around town. I like taking trips in the car because I have a fun new car seat and I like to put the headrest on my head and laugh at myself in the mirror.
Today I went to the park with my friend Grayson. It was a lot of fun. We took a walk, played in the leaves and swung in the swings. I like Grayson. He makes me laugh.

This past week mom and I have been taking lots of walks with Jack. Jack misses Ginger and we have to make sure he is getting his exercise. I have continued to perfect my standing skills and have been testing the waters by trying to pull up and stand on everything. I am a very fast crawler and mom is always watching me to make sure I am not headed for any of the no-no areas of the house. I tend to gravitate to those areas. I have had a few conversations with Grandma on the phone. She is a good listener. I think she might even know what I am saying ... finally someone understands me.
I don't know what the rest of the week will hold but I do know it is warming up and that means that mom and I will be outside a lot more. I can't wait. I can't wait to tell you about my next adventure.
